Lords of Dogtown / Zeitgeist
By now lets talk about movies. Today I bring you two interesting options. The first is Lords Of Dogtown and the second is “Zeitgeist”.
This movie is very good. I saw it yesterday and I can tell you that has become one of my favorites.
I just loved the soundtrack which has something like Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd and many other tracks which supports the artistic and rebellious attitude of the characters. The combination of skateboarding and the 70’s is as honey to my eyes.
In addition, you will see a movie full of young spirits and a realistic drama in which some good friends as Jay, Stacy and Tony took different pathways in their lifes.
This is a very controversial work. Actually this is not a “movie”, it could be classified as a “documentary”.
This work was produced at the United States and is also directed in most part to the audiency of that country. It has topics that could interest to a international audience due to the high influence that the first economy of the world has in the politics, economy and culture of many other countries.
I have to say that I am not agree at all with the content, but it really makes you re-think the way you see the world. And sincerly, it has confused me about some things I believed.
The producers had set March 15th, 2008; as the Z-day for a “World Wide Expression For Change” which will be the day when a lot of involved people will promote effortless the movie.
I invite you to see it, with respect to your beliefs, and to give me your opinion.

Born: Australia, 1979
Died: United States, 2008
Due to the death of the fabulous actor Heath Ledger, who has the role of “couch-guide” of the Dogtown’s boys, is why I do this update.
I still can not believe his death. Today I saw in the newspapper a picture of the coffin which contains his body. It is just shocking. How do you explain how a young talent could die in just a while?
To mention some of his works (source: Wikipedia.org):
+ 10 Things I Hate About You (’99)
+ The Patriot (’00)
+ A Knight’s Tale (’01)
+ Ned Kelly (’03)
+ Brokeback Mountain (’05)
+ Lords Of Dogtown (’05)
+ I’m Not There (’07)
+ The Dark Knight (’08, Batman series, appears as The Joker)
The world is missing a great talent and human. Rest in peace Heath.

I told you! Lords Of Dogtown rocks!
That’s why is one of my favorite movies.
You were right man. Great movie.
